This is an example Newcomen project. You may use it as a starting point to create your own blog or website. This example project also contains some useful information regarding the structure of an Newcomen project and the article source files.
Article Sources
This is a regular blog post. The article source format is pretty simple, for example:

More On Article Sources, And Relative Paths
The source file of this article is a .txt
file. It will be included in the blog like
the .mmd
files, and uses the exact same
format. However, the
MultiMarkdown formatter will not be
applied to this article’s content.
Which formatters are applied depends on the configuration. In the example configuration, the
MultiMarkdown formatter will be applied to .mmd
files only. On the other hand, the
RelativePaths
formatter will be applied to all articles:
This is the path of the “Static Page” (as linked in the menu on the left), relative to the current page:
static-page.html
This relative path will change depending on the page this article is included on. For example, it will be different on yearly and monthly index pages.
Path Of The Source Files
In this example project the article sources are located in
the articles
folder (this can be changed in the configuration). The
name of the source files has to end in either .mmd
or .txt
(see
this post for an explanation).
The file’s basename (without the extension) will be used as the
article’s slug, which will then be used to create the URL of its
single article page. The file name may start with one or more digits
(0
–9
) followed by a dash, this prefix will not be included in the
slug, but may be used to sort the files on the filesystem.
Article Excerpts
For this article (and most of the other examples), only an excerpt will be shown on index pages and in the Atom feeds.
